About Us
Every Parent Deserves Access
In the U.S., tens of thousands of families enter parenthood without the information or support they need to thrive. Disparities in access to maternal and child health resources continue to affect the well-being of parents and infants—especially in underserved communities.
Birth Buddy exists to close those gaps by connecting families to trusted, evidence-based resources in pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, and early parenting. Whether you’re navigating your first pregnancy, dealing with postpartum anxiety, or just trying to find local support, we’re here to help you feel informed, supported, and seen.
Our Mission
To eliminate barriers to maternal and child health by providing equitable access to high-quality information, tools, and community support, all in one place.
Our Vision
A world where no one is left wondering what to do next—where every parent, no matter where they live or what they earn, can confidently access the resources they need to raise healthy families.
Why It Matters
-
Over 2.2 million women of reproductive age live in maternity care deserts, with little or no access to obstetric providers or hospitals offering maternal care.
- March of Dimes, 2022 -
40% of new parents report not knowing where to find postpartum mental health resources.
- CDC Maternal Mental Health, 2020
-
1 in 4 people don’t have internet access at home, limiting their ability to find reliable maternal health information.
- Pew Research Center, 2021 -
Many parents say they feel "lost" in the system—navigating between government programs, nonprofit services, and online advice with little guidance.
