State Ambassadorship Program
Empowering MCH Leaders to Bridge the Gap in Maternal and Child Health
Are you passionate about equitable access to maternal and child health (MCH)? Do you believe no family should have to navigate parenthood without trusted support? Do you want to be part of a movement that ensures every parent—regardless of income, geography, or background—has the information they need to thrive?
The Birth Buddy State Ambassadorship Program is your opportunity to lead that change.
What Is the Birth Buddy Ambassadorship?
This year-long leadership development initiative is designed for emerging and established leaders in maternal and child health. As a Birth Buddy State Ambassador, you’ll help extend our mission across your state—building local partnerships, elevating community voices, and helping families connect to critical resources through the Birth Buddy platform.
Why Become a Birth Buddy Ambassador?
As an Ambassador, you will:
- Localize the Impact: Help curate and validate state-specific resources to improve our local listings.
- Serve as a Connector: Link families, providers, and organizations to trusted MCH resources, especially in underserved and maternity care desert areas.
- Raise Awareness: Represent Birth Buddy at local events, workshops, and in online communities to expand visibility.
- Lead a Capstone Project: Design and launch an initiative that addresses a real maternal or infant health need in your community.
- Receive Training & Mentorship: Participate in monthly leadership sessions and access ongoing support from national MCH experts.
Who Should Apply?
We encourage applications from:
- Public health professionals, doulas, nurses, educators, and social workers
